Franchisee Success Stories
The owners who do well here aren’t chasing a side hustle. They’re people who’ve managed crews, run their own trades, or watched a corporate job eat their weekends and decided they’d rather build something they can see from their own truck. They like systems, but they hate bureaucracy. They want a brand that answers the phone at 2 a.m. and a guarantee they can explain to a homeowner without hedging.
Meet Our Owners
Yolanda T. – San Antonio, Texas
Before Keegan, Yolanda spent fourteen years running a commercial cleaning company. She knew how to hire, how to fire, and how to read a P&L, but she was tired of fighting for every contract against low-ballers who showed up with a mop bucket and no insurance. A slow slab leak at her own mother’s house changed her thinking. The restoration company that came out quoted one price on the phone, then tried to add $4,200 once they peeled back the wet drywall. Yolanda remembered that when she found Keegan.
“I liked that the price is in writing before any work starts,” she said. “No exceptions. That’s not a slogan here, it’s a rule. I don’t have to apologize to people.”
She opened her territory in 2019. Her crew runs Dri-Eaz and Phoenix dehumidifiers on every job, and she documents everything for the adjuster herself. The 365-Day Done Right Promise means she can look a homeowner in the eye and mean what she says. She’s home for dinner more nights than she was running the cleaning business, and she owns the whole operation.
Miguel R. – Tucson, Arizona
Miguel came out of the Marine Corps in 2012 and bounced between construction jobs, mostly framing and drywall. He was good at it, but he hated the feast-or-famine cycle and the way general contractors would stretch payment out ninety days. A buddy who’d bought into a Garrison Partners brand told him about the restoration side. Miguel didn’t know the first thing about psychrometric charts or category-three water losses, but he knew how to lead people and how to show up on time.
“The Garrison Code says ‘Do it by the book, the first time.’ That clicked for me,” Miguel said. “In the Corps, you don’t get to guess. Same here. IICRC sets the standard, we follow it, and we document every step for the insurance company. No shortcuts.”
He runs background-checked, uniformed crews now. His phone rings at all hours, but a live person answers every time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. Miguel doesn’t miss framing walls in hundred-degree heat. He built something his kids can see him running.
Adam B. – Knoxville, Tennessee
Adam was a property manager for a regional apartment group, handling turnover and maintenance across forty units. He saw water damage from every angle, the tenant who doesn’t report a leak for three weeks, the maintenance guy who fans it out and calls it good, the mold that shows up two months later and turns into a five-figure remediation. He knew the work was there. He just didn’t want to start from scratch with no brand and no systems.
“Keegan’s name is quick to say when somebody’s panicking at midnight,” Adam said. “That’s not accidental. It’s a common Irish family name, easy to remember when you’re standing in an inch of water in your kitchen. I liked that somebody thought about that.”
He opened in 2017. His crews use Injectidry systems for hardwood floor drying and B-Air air movers on tight crawlspace jobs. Every repair gets the written 365-Day Done Right Promise. Adam says the difference between this and property management is simple: “Now I own the thing. The Garrison Standard is the floor, not the ceiling.”
Norma F. – Boise, Idaho
Norma sold commercial insurance for eleven years. She knew adjusters, she knew coverage disputes, and she knew exactly how many restoration companies left holes in their documentation that got claims punted back to the homeowner. She was tired of being the middle person. She wanted to be the one who actually fixed the wall.
“I chose Keegan because the documentation is built for the claim from day one,” Norma said. “Photo logs, moisture readings, equipment placement maps, drying goals in writing. I used to beg contractors for that stuff. Now we produce it standard.”
She opened her franchise in 2021, right when Idaho’s growth spurt was driving water damage calls through suburban developments with slab foundations and no basements. Her crews extract, dry, and document to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards. The written price before any work starts protects her customers and protects her. Norma says the best call she gets is the one where the adjuster already knows the Keegan name and doesn’t fight the scope.
